Despite the disproportionate burden of HIV infection facing transgender communities, particularly for transwomen, transgender individuals continue to represent an underserved, highly stigmatized, and under-resourced population in both general clinical care and HIV prevention services. This session, aimed at healthcare providers, including clinicians, nurses and pharmacists, researchers, transgender individuals and community advocates, discusses the issues surrounding care for trans populations who are also affected by HIV.
